The Ordinary
The Ordinary was a brand that I have heard about, from beauty gurus and magazines. Also, on the shelves on Ulta and Urban Outfitters, if you read the reviews, it’s conflicting some don’t recommend, and some do. Finally bit the bullet and gave them a try, what the hay! I’m not going outside, so if I have a skin reaction, no one but Juan and the kids would see. Nows the perfect time to test out skincare, I purchased the AHA 30% +BHA 2% Peel Solution and the Hyaluronic Acid 2%.
After reading the instructions on how best to use, I was honestly worried that I might end up with some skin irritation after using the peel solution. A couple drops after a clean and patted dry face, make sure to avoid the eyes. After applying everything, my daughters thought I broke out in hives because my face was red. The intrusions say not to leave on skin for longer than 10 minutes because I was so nervous I did not do so “Hey Siri! Set a timer for 10 minutes.”
After the 10 minutes was up, I ran to the bathroom to rinse my face with Luke warm water as directed. I watched several Youtube videos that said not to put any additional products that may contain retinol or acid. I applied some moisturizer, and that was it, I did see some small redness on the skin, but in the morning my face looked flawless! I was honestly surprised at how even just after one application, my skin looked different. The instruction says not to use more than twice a week. I would recommend using it with several days in-between each use to ensure no harsh skin reaction. I was elated that I decided to give the peel a try.
The Hyaluronic Acid was suggested applying twice a day PM and AM a few drops. I wanted to give this a chance to set into the skin, so I stopped using any facial serums that I was currently using. After a couple of days of use, I did notice some changes in my skin; I saw some added moisture, especially in some of the dry areas on the face. I like this one better than some of the others that I have tried, and it’s more affordable, which is also great.
Really happy that I bit the bullet and got these to try, I’ve already purchased some other products from The Ordinary that I want to try.
